-Mages-

        Mages draw upon arcane powers to do damage to their 
opponents in combat. It is absolutely essential for a mage to 
have high intelligence to cast spells with. With high 
intelligence usually comes with low strenght and constitution.
For protection a mage usually sits at the back of a adventuring 
party casting one spell after another. Mage's offensive spells are 
astonishingly powerful, including the manipulation of the elements 
like fire and ice, and the manipulation of magic like magic missile
and killing cloud. Mages also have some defensive spells that 
can aid the party that they are in.
The training of mages begins with the very young, so even the
smallest adventurer will find a place within their great halls.

Simple Strategy

  1. Get Magic Missile - This is your first damage spell and it will last you a good long time. Start battles with cast magic missile at orc try very slow and read the help on chaining.
  2. Get a Familiar - The next spell that worth learning is familiar. This spell will create creature which will serve as tank while you shoot your spells. I've never bothered with any of the related spells, like summon familiar, as I've never not known where mine was.
  3. Level - Don't bother picking up any other spells, just keep leveling and upping magic missile.
  4. Power Blast - once you can level power blast to about 60%, do so and start using it exclusivly.

Other spells that make life better

  • Teleport without error - Eventually the summon stone won't be aviable, when that happens use this spell to get home.

Power Blast

Power Blast combines all of the magicians spell casting power into one mass. As such it's effectiveness is increased with every 10% in many other offensive spells. It is a good idea to keep these spells up as you level.
